Dolph Ziggler: WWE’s New “Go-to” Guy

Over the last several months, I’ve watched current WWE United States Champion Dolph Ziggler mature into quite possibly the most entertaining heel in the business. His recent series of matches against the likes of Zack Ryder, John Morrison & Mason Ryan have been most impressive, especially the none-dimensional Ryan. The match from last week’s RAW, which had Ziggler squaring off against CM Punk, the self-proclaimed ‘best in the world’ was a thing of beauty, and quite possibly the best match I’ve seen this year on WWE programming.
Perhaps WWE is realizing what they have in Ziggler as well, as they’ve pinned several losses on him recently. Now, I know you’re wondering if you read the previous sentence correctly, but I assure you, you’re reading that right.

Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), at one time WWE’s developmental territory, has reached an agreement to become the primary training ground for TNA Impact Wrestling. The agreement means OVW owner Danny Davis will be working in tandem with TNA’s new Senior Vice President of Talent Relations Bruce Pritchard in training and developing future stars for the TNA roster.

Davis will also continue to handle much of the training duties, assisted by former WWE Tag Team Champion Nick Dinsmoreand former Georgia Championship Wrestling Tag Team Champion Rip Rogers, both of whom have an extensive history with OVW.
